In this safari adventure, we’ll be visiting three of the finest tourist destinations in Kenya: the world-renowned Masai Mara, home to the big 5; Lake Nakuru, which hosts one of the world's greatest bird spectacle; and Lake Naivasha, where you can climb to great heights and explore deathly depths.
Each day of our Kenya’s Maasai Mara tour is filled with new things to do. From game viewing of Africa’s most majestic megafauna to thrilling outdoor activities and interactions with the local culture. Since our Masai mara safari won’t be confined to the parks and reserves, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the life of Kenya.
All in all, expect to have an unforgettable Maasai mara safari, Lake Nakuru, and Naivasha adventure with our professional guides.
Our adventure begins with us picking you up from Nairobi and driving to Maasai Mara. It is a 5-hour drive that’ll see us pass through beautiful diverse landscapes. Nearing Mai Mahiu, we go along the Great Rift Valley escarpment which feels like driving on the side of a mountain.
We arrive in Maasai Mara, get clearance at the gate, and head to our camp in time for Lunch. After settling in and resting for a while, we start our Maasai Mara safari with an afternoon game drive.
Later, we return to camp/lodge, have dinner, and stay overnight.
This is a fun-filled day that’ll see us explore the best of what Masai Mara has to offer.
After an early breakfast, we head out for a safari. Early game drives are the best since chances of seeing the Big 5 skyrocket. Lions usually hunt at dawn so you’re likely to see a wildlife predator-prey dynamic happening IRL. Apart from the Big 5: Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, and Rhinos, you’ll view other magnificent animals like Giraffes, Gazelles, monkeys, Cheetahs, and the fearless Honey Badgers among others.
Continuing with our Masai Mara safari, you have the option to have an air balloon tour and view the Maasai Mara in a whole new way. We can also visit the Maasai people and experience their way of life alongside such majestic creatures. This trip to the Maasai villages can be arranged at an extra cost. Later, we return to camp for Lunch and refreshments.
We wind up the day with a late afternoon game drive and return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we head out on an early morning game drive to end our Maasai Mara safari. We check out of the gate and head towards Lake Nakuru. The drive isn’t too long but it still allows you to see more of Kenya’s landscapes, including Mt. Longonot.
We arrive at Lake Nakuru Park, get clearance at the gate, have lunch, and finish settling in at the lodge. Our Lake Nakuru safari begins with an afternoon game drive towards the lake. Along the way, we may see the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, vervet monkeys, white rhinos, and waterbucks among other animals. Upon reaching the lake, we’ll view the park’s main attraction; a multitude of pink and white flamingos foraging for food and flying around.
The rest of the day is spent exploring and hiking parts of the park. We head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
The day starts with an early morning to Lake Naivasha for breakfast. The drive is a short one that takes about two hours. We have breakfast, settle in, and head to Hell’s Gate National Park in Kenya. This park is home to famous for the Ol Njorowa Gorge. Walking through the long and narrow paths of the gorge with towering cliffs at the side is thrilling.
There are tons of options to choose from in Hell’s Gate Kenya; you can go rock climbing in Fischer’s tower, game viewing, hiking, or cycling. Hell’s Gate is the only park in Kenya where you can view wildlife while cycling since there are not a lot of dangerous animasl.
After Lunch, we go to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride, do some bird watching, or visit the crescent island. We head back to the lodge for dinner in the evening and stay overnight.
After breakfast, we explore more of Hell’s Gate National Park or Lake Naivasha. You can go nature walks, cycle around the park, busk in the sun, or refresh in a heated pool that is sustained by natural hot springs.
Our Maasai Mara safari ends with a drive back to Nairobi.
