Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing Routes
There are mainly four routes climbers use to scale Kilimanjaro. Each route has a different difficulty level, but they all offer a scenic trek to the summit.
Lemosho Route: Mount Kilimanjaro Lemosho route is regarded by many to be the most beautiful trail to the summit. It offers a moderately difficult climb that is thrilling for first-time hikers.
Rongai Route: This is the easiest route for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. The Rongai route approaches the mountain from the North and thus has a dry and warm climate.
Machame Route: The Machame route is among the most scenic and the hardest after the Umbwe route. Surprisingly, this route has a high success rate.
Marangu Route: Marangu is somewhat different from the other routes. It is relatively easy to trek, has a low success rate, and is the only route where accommodation is in huts. Still, it is a remarkably scenic route and was once the most popular way up Mount Kilimanjaro.
