Mt Kenya Trekking Expeditions may take photographs, videos, or other recordings during trekking, safari, camping, and other activities for documentation, promotional, educational, or marketing purposes.

1. Photography During Trips
Guests may be photographed or recorded during activities, provided that the recording is undertaken respectfully and does not compromise safety, privacy, or the experience of other Guests.Photography or filming must not interfere with guides, wildlife, other visitors, local residents, or safety procedures.
2. Promotional Use
Mt Kenya Trekking Expeditions may wish to use photographs or recordings featuring Guests in promotional materials such as:- Our website.
- Social media platforms.
- Brochures and marketing materials.
- Advertisements.
- Newsletters.
- Other company communications.
3. Consent
Where consent is requested, the Guest may choose whether to provide it.Consent should be informed and voluntary and should relate to the intended use of the photograph, video, or recording.
A Guest's decision not to provide media consent will not affect their ability to book or participate in our services, unless the recording is necessary for a specific service or legally required.
4. Withdrawal of Consent
Where a Guest has provided consent for promotional use, they may contact Mt Kenya Trekking Expeditions to request withdrawal of that consent for future use.Withdrawal of consent does not necessarily require the removal of material that has already been printed, published, distributed, or otherwise used before the withdrawal request, where removal is not reasonably practicable.

We take particular care when photographing or recording children.Images or recordings that identify a child for promotional purposes will only be used with appropriate consent or authorization in accordance with applicable Kenyan requirements.

We will not knowingly use photographs or recordings in a manner that is defamatory, degrading, misleading, discriminatory, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate.Guests are also expected to respect the privacy of other Guests, local communities, guides, staff, and children when taking photographs or recordings.

Personal information associated with photographs, videos, or recordings will be handled in accordance with applicable Kenyan data-protection requirements and our Privacy Policy.The Data Protection Act, 2019 establishes rights and safeguards concerning the collection and processing of personal data in Kenya.
